But, personally, the best way to identify [1-on-1 stoppers] is to use Synergy Sports’ isolation defenders. Some of the more household names are Andre Iguodala (5th in iso, 0.45 points per possession (PPP)), Tony Allen (16th in iso, 0.54 PPP), Lebron James (67th in iso, 0.7 PPP), Luol Deng (152nd in iso, 0.87). MKG?? He ranks 2nd allowing just 0.45 PPP. Yes, S-E-C-O-N-D. Ahead of well known defenders named above. He’s quick, he’s long and he’s smart. Add all that up and what you get is a First Team All Defense candidate in a year or two.
"Dunlap confirms that Friday starters: Walker, Henderson, MKG, Mullens, and Haywood."
The Bobcats have joined the Wizards and Timberwolves as suitors for free agent F Anthony Tolliver.
It sounds like the Wizards, who are looking to replace Andray Blatche, are coming at him the strongest, but he's still not sure of where he'll be playing next season.
The Warriors and FA Carl Landry are "on the verge" of an agreement, according to CSNBayArea.com.
Golden State has been pursuing Landry for a while now, and it seems that either they improved their offer or Landry finally realized no team would break the bank for him. He has minimal fantasy value but is a solid real-world addition to the Warriors' bench, where he projects as David Lee's backup
Per Philly Inquirer, Syracuse's Scoop Jardine might get training camp invite from Bobcats. Solid college player; not so sure at NBA level.— Rick Bonnell (@rick_bonnell) July 30, 2012
'"Landry, it seems is going to get a larger offer elsewhere. (Charlotte can offer more than GSW). He would like to play for the Warriors, but it sounds unlikely he'd take less money to play for GSW." writes Thompson'...
'That could put the Bobcats in good position, but if they don't come to the table with significantly more money than the Warriors, Landry could settle for joining the more talented team.' - Joe Kaiser
...among players, CAA more commonly is prized for representing the opposite of that. For many, it is a reprieve from the mistrust endemic to the game. It's something like an extended family of players and coaches and others who look out for each other. James, Wade, Bosh, Anthony, Chris Paul, Tom Thibodeau, Rich Cho, Mike Dunlap, John Calipari ... CAA's basketball client list...
It's official: @bobcats forward @MikeGillie14 (Michael Kidd-Gilchrist) will stay with #14 to begin his @NBA career. #CatsVegas.— B.J. Evans (@BobcatsBballPR) July 19, 2012

The Suns have submitted a successful waiver claim for Luis Scola.
The deal must be three years and worth at least $10 million to offset the unguaranteed portion of Scola's deal with the Rockets, who recently waived him. It's a sneaky pickup for the Suns, who otherwise had only Channing Frye (who could miss the start of the season with a shoulder injury), Hakim Warrick and Markieff Morris at PF.
