What's up? I'm feeling retrospective at this moment, and got to perusing a certain question that seems to be somewhat decisive. With a lot of talk about what the Bobcats should do in the upcoming offseason, I figured this would be as good a time as any to get an idea what (RufusOnFire subscribing) Bobcats fans think the FO should do. I'm not interested in your opinion on the draft; there are plenty of perfectly valid arguments for any number of different scenarios. I'm more interested in what you, dear reader, believe the Bobcat's goal this offseason is regarding free agency.
I'm going to paint it in fairly black and white terms, so bear with me. I realize there is plenty of complexity to free agency, with: young unproven players, breakout young stars, older mid-tier guys, etc. What I'm merely interested is one specific group, the "big ticket club" (as I'm choosing to deem them). I'm talking about a player with enough talent to push us out of the 1-5 territory and closer towards the 6-11 territory. A prime example of such a player is the undoubtedly talented Paul Millsap, whom should command plenty of $$$ and years. Or his frontcourt teammate, Al Jefferson. You get the idea.
So, what do you think, fellow Bobcats fans? Yay or nay? Pay a little extra to entice a real talent to play with a lottery team? Or wait out any major dips in free agency for one more year of top of the lottery goodness?
Invoke your opinions about that in the incoming poll and comment section! (and please lets keep it to mostly that)
(Poll will remain open until June 5, the day before the NBA Finals. If you would like to see another poll conducted after the draft, please recommend [aka "rec"]. Or if you just plum love it. I don't care. Recs are cool).
