Bobcats Center Brendan Haywood is out for season with a stress reaction in his ankle.

According to the the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell, Brendan Haywood is out for the season with a stress reaction in his ankle.

This is going to hurt the Bobcats a lot. Brendan Haywood isn't a fantastic player, but he was averaging 19 minutes per game this season. My guess is that Tyrus Thomas (allegedly banished to Mordor) or DeSagana Diop (banished to the bench) will receive playing time now that Haywood is out. I'd prefer the team going to the D-League to find a temporary replacement, but I doubt the team goes that route.

Haywood averaged a career low 44% True Shooting Percentage as well as his lowest True Rebounding Percentage in almost a decade, 14%. He averaged seven points and nine rebounds per 36 minutes. Like I said, not a gigantic loss, but finding someone to take up the minutes may prove difficult.
