Michael Kidd-Gilchrist could play against the Lakers tonight

Thomas Campbell-USA TODAY Sports

If given the go-ahead by one more doctor, MKG could be back on the court against Los Angeles.

Via the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is "likely" to return to action tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers.

He needs to be OK'd by one more doctor, Bonnell said, but barring that, he should be good to go. Kidd-Gilchrist has also been participating in shootarounds, so signs seem positive.

The rookie forward was concussed last week during a game in which he was knocked unconscious after teammate Jeffery Taylor's knee collided with the back of his head.
