NBA trade deadline day open thread

USA TODAY Sports

A couple trades have broken the ice and tomorrow team's must either plunge in the cold water or stay out of it.

Feel free to use this post a place to discuss all trades and rumors (Bobcats or not) as the 3 p.m. EST deadline draws nearer.

In case you missed it last night, the Kings traded Thomas Robinson, Francisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt to Houston for Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich and Toney Douglas. Basically, Houston gets more young talent and Sacramento saves itself some money by costing itself young talent down the road. Well done, Kings ownership. You somehow surpass disgrace even with a foot out the door.

The Rockets also dealt Marcus Morris to Phoenix for a future second-round pick. With Thomas Robinson, the Rockets had to make room to free up playing time for Robinson, as well as some other promising power forwards.

Those are the two completed deals we know about.
