The rookie forward was knocked unconscious after his head collided with Jeffery Taylor's knee or hip.

In a very scary moment tonight, Bobcats rookie forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was placed on a stretcher after a head injury left him unconscious.

Kidd-Gilchrist and fellow rookie Jeffery Taylor, defending a Rockets possession, collided as Taylor's knew or hip came in contact with Kidd-Gilchrist's head. He lay unconscious on the floor for several minutes before training and medical staff placed him on a stretcher.

As they wheeled him through the tunnel, he did not seem to make any movements, though some said he was slightly moving his feet and arms.

Of course, there are concerns of a concussion or worse, heaven forfend. I have no idea what that could be, but I pray he for a speedy recovery.

We'll be sure to update the site as we know more.
