Charlotte Bobcats vs Milwaukee Bucks game preview

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Gametime: 7:00 p.m. EST

This will be the third game between the Bobcats and Bucks so far this season and Charlotte has had absolutely zero problems when facing Milwaukee. They won the first match by 24 points and the second by 16.

However, the Bobcats are a bit more injury-wrecked now with Jeff Taylor out for the season. That leaves them starting Anthony Tolliver at small forward, which can be a bit of a defensive and offensive liability. Tolliver has a decent three-point shot, though his entire offensive game is pretty inconsistent. Lacking great athleticism, he relies on effort and intelligence defensively, which helps on rotations but doesn't force turnovers like the other small forwards.

Still, this should be a game the Bobcats handle with ease. Milwaukee has moved Giannis Antetokounmpo into the starting lineup and they're struggling with the injury bug, too. Ersan Ilyasova is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle; John Henson is questionable tonight with a sprained knee; Gary Neal is probably playing though he's been fighting plantar fasciitis; Zaza Pachulia has a fractured right foot and will miss a month; and Larry Sanders and Carlos Delfino are still out with their long-standing thumb and foot surgery recoveries, respectively.

OJ Mayo and Caron Butler lead the Bucks in scoring, so stopping them is imperative, especially because of how bad the Bucks are offensively. Mayo is a great shooter so Gerald Henderson and the guards should stick to him especially from beyond the three-point line because he can nail those spot-up shots. Butler prefers to get some looks in isolation and also out of the post.

But with all the Bucks' frontcourt injuries, look for Al Jefferson to cook all night.
