Jeffery Taylor rises for a dunk at a game against the 76ers earlier this season - US PRESSWIRE
The rookie forward had a slight injury during his impressive first quarter against the Rockets.
Jeffery Taylor hobbled off the court after straining his quad in the first quarter against the Rockets Monday, but is expected to return
Taylor showed his full capabilities in the first quarter against the Rockets, putting on a great showing before the injury. He hit all three of his attempts, most of them impressive dunks (including one super sweet reverse jam in traffic).
On the play in question, Taylor was run through a screen before poking the ball from James Harden. On a one-on-none fast break, Taylor threw down the showy dunk to put the Bobcats up 12. Immediately afterwards, Taylor stopped and inspected his knee, which looked to be giving him some discomfort. He left to the locker room during the next stoppage in play.
It turns out he strained his quad and should return wearing a pad, Rick Bonnell reports.
