Intriguing.

Last year I was surprised that Kemba Walker didn't sign a deal with Jordan Brand, considering Walker nearly exclusively wore the shoes on court during his college seasons. Instead, he signed with Under Armour to get his own deal, which would more likely result in his own shoe, as opposed to Jordan Brand which has signature sneakers for Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade -- though Wade recently left JB for Li-Ning in a stunning turn of events.

And now, JB gets Kidd-Gilchrist, a rookie from the head honcho's team, who isn't known for scoring prowess or flashy offense, but rather killer defense and ultimate hustle.

Hmm, reminds me of the last forward to play for the Bobcats with a JB deal. I think his name was Jerome Waldorf, or something like that. Odd how the parallels between the two keep going, eh?
