Should we go after Brendan Hayword with new info on his deal?

Everybody in the league thought Brendan Haywood had a terrible contract, but up until today many people's perception have changed. Once again Dalas designed a beautiful contract provision. He has a spread provision in his deal. This mean that any team that waives him can pay him 2 million for 14 years rather than over 7 million for 3 years.

We really could use a decent c. Especially one with championship experience. If we keep him next year then cut him in 2014 that would be only 2.5 million for 7 years which still isn't bad.Or we could just keep him because decent c's are hard to come by and use the last year as trade bait.

I heard Dallas was offering their pick to move salary.

I think Gerald Henderson/Reggie Williams/ 2014 2nd/500k/Livingston's tpe for Haywood/V.Carter and #17 should get it done.

Carter is guaranteed 2.4 million out of 3 million so I can see why Dallas would trade him to shed salary.

We get another 1st and can draft Royce White, Quincy Miller or Austin Rivers. We get 2 solid vets also.

Mavs get something for Haywood and still shed 6 million off their payroll. Henderson and Reggie can replace the wings they are losing in free agency.

I think Henderson is on the block anyway considering Cho didn't mention him in our young core during the lottery.
