Surprise Surprise! Brian Shaw? Nope. Quin Snyder? Nada. The new coach of the Charlotte Bobcats will be St. Johns assistant Mike Dunlap. Like me do you know NOTHING about Coach D? After the jump we will take a look.

Mike Dunlap has some NBA coaching experience having been an assistant under George Karl with the Denver Nuggets before joining Steve Lavin at St. Johns. I am surprised at the hire as we had been conditioned and arguing between Snyder and Shaw for what seemed like an eternity. I am still unsure on the hire although I feel like I have read high praise from Karl about Dunlap. This also seems to mesh with the teaching and developing of young players as this guy has been required to help develop kids in college.
