Charlotte Bobcats vs. Indiana Pacer preview -- Game 33

Today's Tunes:

"40' " - Franz Ferdinand

Game Overview: I won't go very in depth today as you can just head back a few posts to read some broad analysis of what to expect of the Pacers. Roy Hibbert and David West are playing well right now and unless the Bobcats really step it up, I'd expect them to again have a reign of terror in the paint despite coming to Charlotte on the tail end of a back-to-back following last night's overtime win. The Pacers excel in the halfcourt offense and defense so the Bobcats should try to push the tempo. Let's hope they can keep the deficit in double-digits tonight. (/sarcasm)

Star-divide

Key Matchup: Bismack Biyombo vs. Roy Hibbert -- dear god, I hope Biyombo plays better against Hibbert tonight. I don't think I can take more Gana Diop.

In case you missed it

SB Nation's Jon Bois ranked airballed free throws and Diop won!

"40"...

Would that be the final point differential or the number of ounces I drink during the first half?

Everyone needs to leave Dasanga Diop alone.

I know he might be the worst FT shooter in the league, he’s immobile, his skill sheet says “tall” and nothing else, he has like a 2" vertical, and he likes to shoot the flattest jumpshot ever but… I forgot the point I was trying to make.

If you disagree with my opinion, I will take it personally.

either...

it would be neat for them to lose by fewer than 10 points
or
I want the Bobcats to smash the record for worst loss ever

Just please make Desanga Diop ride the bench. That’s all I ask for and it ain’t much.

ACC Championship Member Brandon Thompson is the new Jacoby Ford. You better pick him Panthers or you will be doomed to relive the 2010 season over and over again in the Twilight Zone.

Clemson 2011 ACC Champions! Look forward to doing it again next year! :D

I feel like

you could almost copy and past the game recap article against the Pacers from last week, later tonight, and no one would notice…

Silas' job is probably on the line in this one

unless, you know, it was MJ saying play DeSagana Diop, I pay that fat bastard 7 million dollars to do more than just ride the pine!

for that kind of money, he should be leading us in some kind of stat, i don’t care if it’s turnovers!

He leads the league in forced facepalms.

DeSagana Diop has more basketball skill in his pinky

than most players have in their entire bodies.

Unfortunately, all of his skill is trapped solely in his pinky. But if he ever takes a free throw with just that pinky, watch out!

Im not a fan of Silas

I always thought he was a mediocre coach. I can put up with him this year but I expect a new one next year.

so anybody see the link of rick bonnell about trades before 3/15?

why cant we add viable young players, under contract in these trades? there are NO superstars on the horizon in the draft. none. why must charlottes only option be as a conduit? a place where other teams can park a salary they dont want that we let expire for cap savings?

and where the heck is rich cho in all this? I thought he was going to be a genius as a trade worker, adding picks and players along the way to making us great?

"..and we have scott may coming back this season.." bob johnson quote before the start of 07-08 season, when he didnt even know his own players name.

have you seen the caliber of players coming out in next year's draft?

Anthony Davis, Thomas Robinson, Andre Drummond, Harrison Barnes, Michael Kidd Gilchrest, Jared Sullinger, Jeremy Lamb and Bradley Beal are all individually better than any player that came out last year.

It's February 22nd

There is plenty of time to be making trades. Why are some people already freaking out about this? And I don’t know what you’re looking at when you say there are no superstars on the horizon. Like Adam said, there looks to be plenty.

Heading to the game tonight

The Diop vs Hibbert matchup could be historical LOL

Next year: C Davis PF Biz SF ? SG Hendo PG Kemba = 8th seed !!!

I dont really see how thats worse than the Wizards

Considering we dont know how Davis will translate to the NBA and I would expect Biz and Kemba to make a huge step from this season to next, especially since they will have an off season and SL. Davis will be a PF though and Biz the C. I also think Gerald will be a player that gets better and better each year until he reaches his ceiling and I think that is still at least one more year away.

In other news

Former Bobcats “STIFF” Joel Pryzbilla signs back with Portland. I’d rather have Diop than that bum.

by chris in union county on Feb 22, 2012 5:05 PM EST reply actions

Disagree.

I’d rather have YOU than Diop. Joel played like he has at least dribbled a basketball a few times in his life.
