Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

We must fight for Bobcat pride.

I am writting this post today as a call to a the first dayers and true Bobcats everywhere...Unite! A plan to tank the season can not stand. I would not care if MJ himself was the consenses upcoming number one pick. The Bobcats have never tanked a season. Though bad decision after bad decision they have always fought and fought hard. Two owners, four head coaches, and three general managers they never tanked a season until now. Hardly any regional, local or national coverage to speak of yet they never tank a season. Now enters MJ the riverboat gambler who can't swim. He decides that all of the proud Bobcat tradition means nothing he needs a star to win. Afterall, Bob Johnson a man with infinitely more resources probably sold the team because he couldn't get a pick higher than two and a guaranteed star.

My question is what is a bonafied star. Monte Ellis was drafted in the second round and Jeremy Lin wasn't drafted at all. Greg Oden went number one as did Michael Olowokandi and Kwame Brown for that matter. How dare he ask the fans who have supported this team through thick and thin to just be patient and give up on winning basketball for a moment much less an entire season. All the while, he has a General Manager with a son on the team and a head coach with a son on the staff. Just support us with your time and hard earned dollars while we play out the string, it's only 66 games anyway(not a full season). Who cares, after we maybe secure that lotto franchise saving basketball messiah, you'll forget about the day the Bobcats became the worst sports franchise in history. Well I will not, winners never ever give-in and I am a winner. What are you MJ?

Tyrus Thomas for Andray Blatche

Gerald Henderson for Terrence Williams

Charlotte: DJ Augustin/Boris Diaw/Corey Maggette to the Lakers.

Lakers: Pau Gasol to Minnesota.

Minnesota: Derrick Williams/Martell Webster/Brad Miller to Charlotte.

Sign backup pg Allen Iverson.

7 million drop in salaries this year, Maggette 10 million off the books, you get something for DJ, and a PR boom among the players for getting A.I. back in the league.

i enjoyed this post

however, my friend, the Bobcats aren’t “tanking” this season

we’re playing as hard as we can (except Boris, as we clearly saw last night) and still losing because we have a terrible roster

oh, and my friend, Gerald Henderson is a considerable better player than Terrence Williams is.

So, no I’m not willing to watch the Bobcats “tank” the season, but I am willing to live with the losing knowing that we’ll get a high draft pick. It’s clear after the last couple of games that the Bobcats arent’ content just listfully being the worst team of all time.

Followed By A.I. refusing to come off the bench and becoming a team cancer, followed by Andre Blatche becoming a team cancer, followed by T-Will feuding with both Blatche and A.I., followed by the entire state of N.C. being cut out of the coast of the U.S. and sent adrift into the Atlantic in an attempt to extricate all that cancer.

If we had proud Bobcat tradition, we'd probably try to trade that too.

ACC Championship Member Brandon Thompson is the new Jacoby Ford. You better pick him Panthers or you will be doomed to relive the 2010 season over and over again in the Twilight Zone.

Clemson 2011 ACC Champions! Look forward to doing it again next year! :D

I was extremely disappointed to learn that that wasn’t the case.

i posted this on another thread as well but....

In more serious “news” the nbadraft.net posted their latest mock draft (still no idea how old it is. I should probably check it to that) and as usual they have the Bobcats taking Anthony Davis with the number 1 pick. The reason why i always check the mock draft is to see who we could possibly add with our second rd pick.

They have us taking Draymond Green out of Michigan State. I like Green’s game but i dont see him as a small forward. The interesting thing for me is that Quincy Miller out of Baylor (but from Winston Salem I think) is still sitting there and is slated as going to the Raptors. I doubt he comes out early and he’d only be about 19 years old also but who what do we think of using our second rd. pick on Miller? I know he’s still a kid BUT he’s also a 6’9 small forward.

by Rvdbbw on Feb 17, 2012 2:33 PM EST reply actions

Quincy Miller at Baylor? If so he isn’t going to drop all the way to the 2nd round.

One thing i can do...................is FINGER ROLL.

That's because Miller isn't gonna come out this year I don't believe.

When he comes out he won’t slip past top 20.

Do This: @Sarcasm@

You get this: Sarcasm

It only works in the body, not in the subject. And there can’t be a space between the @ symbol and the words.

Saddest Post Ever...

Pride. Is making our team at least competitive enough to win 10 of our first 30. Pride is making moves to put us in position to make moves. My question is, what have Diop or Tyrus done for us? Nothing. But everyone wanted to keep them. “Its stupid to amnesty”. Is it really. They arent producing. Why not. Pride isnt “I dont care how many we lose as long as we get Anthony Davis” or “Why do you want to win, to mess up our draft stock?” and various other defeatist comments. Now this is what most of us wanted. We want Anthony Davis over wanting to win. Where is the pride in that. I hope we get Anthony Davis. But Im fine with MKG or Thomas Robinson (who has an amazing story and plays like he has everything to lose). So there is no need in this “Bobcats Pride” crap now. We wanted this. I didnt personally but Im a fan and this is what the majority of the fans wanted. We didnt want to win bc it would jeopardize Anthony Davis (who is no Lebron, Melo, Kobe, Durant or KG by any means). This is what we got.

Im losing faith in you Cho. Never had faith in MJ.
