Rebuilding the Bobcats-Cavs way then Thunder way
Bobcats suck they should blow up the ENTIRE roster. Cavs way is the best way to receive lottery picks. Thunder's way is the best way to build a team
Cavs model
Here are some trades I came up with http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6ol4gps
New Jersey adds Shawn Williams too but he can't be traded so I couldn't include him until March 1 adds 2012 Houston 1st
New Jersey is trying to get rid of Petro /Farmer/Williams to make room for more free agents when they sign Dwight.
Next http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=78yjy6z Detroit sends back unprotected 2013 1st. Detroit would do this deal in a heartbeat.
Next http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7vu4upd Lakers add Dallas 1st
Bobcats trade Maggette to a team over the cap since be since there are going to be harsh penalties starting that year ,for a 1st
OKC Model
Bobcats would have 2 picks in 2012 4 in 2013.
2012 draft Anthony Davis and Harrison Barnes in 2012.
2012 off season resign DJ White 3 years 9 million
2013:Bobcats trade their pick I project 4th or 5th and Portland's pick to move up and select Nerlens Noel. Last trade Bobcats trade Detroit and Maggette picks to move up and select Austin Rivers.
2013 off season give Stephen Curry the max resign Darius Morris 3 years 6 million resign Austin Daye 3 years 13 million resign Mullens 3 years 15 million
2013-2014 cap at 61million
2013-2014 Bobcats line up
pg Stephen Curry/Darius Morris
sg Austin Rivers/Ben Gordon
sf Harrison Barnes/Trevor Ariza /Austin Daye(we trade Ariza)
pf Anthony Davis/DJ White/Charlie Villunova
c Nerlens Noel/BJ Mullens
Rest of the roster players from Maggette trade

I honestly don't want to see Kemba or Bismack go
but for a team this bad you have to blow it up,or we will end up like the Wizards with a potential superstar but is surrounded by horrible talent. The only free agents we are attractive to are players affiliated with Charlotte. We need to build through the draft with bonafide superstars. It’s no doubt that Davis, Barnes, Rivers, and Noel are going to be superstars. We have to take chances if we want to make the playoffs in a few years. Kemba and Biyombio on a good team are energy players off the bench.
No doubt they are going to be superstars?

I mean if I thought any of this was possible I might say yes to it, with a few changes.
The only way I’ll be happy drafting Nerlens Noel is if he keeps that bitching Kid-N-Play flat top.
Wanna keep BB
I couldn’t care less about Kemba.
Wat.

"With the third pick of the 2006 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Bobcats select, Adam Morrison, Gonzaga."

If management wasn't so cheap
I would say the Nets trade could def happen if management wasn’t so cheap. Of course the Lakers trade could if they really want a pg at the deadline.
Mgmt isn't cheap
There has to be a reason that we are stockpiling cash for this upcoming and the next free agent period…

Well, there is such thing as a salary cap.
You have to go cheap before getting better. Look at our roster. Matt Carrol, Desagana Diop, Boris Diaw……..compare those names to their salaries and you can’t really accuse management of being cheap, just mishandling money.

That's the root of the problem
It’s not a big deal paying Wallace $10 million or Jax $8 million but if you add it to paying Tyrus $7m, Diop $7m, Carroll $4m, etc., the sum is too large. I’m hoping MJ learned his lesson and won’t be overspending for role players anymore

to be a little fair
TTime was playing better and better when his contract was done. We thought he’d walk for nothing and with the way he was playing, he could have taken the starting PF spot from Boris. That was then. Now having him just walk seems like it was the better option.
I got nothing for the rest of them though. Those were bad calls.
True, Tyrus gets worse the more he plays

In more serious “news” the nbadraft.net posted their latest mock draft (still no idea how old it is. I should probably check it to that) and as usual they have the Bobcats taking Anthony Davis with the number 1 pick. The reason why i always check the mock draft is to see who we could possibly add with our second rd pick.
They have us taking Draymond Green out of Michigan State. I like Green’s game but i dont see him as a small forward. The interesting thing for me is that Quincy Miller out of Baylor (but from Winston Salem I think) is still sitting there and is slated as going to the Raptors. I doubt he comes out early and he’d only be about 19 years old also but who what do we think of using our second rd. pick on Miller? I know he’s still a kid BUT he’s also a 6’9 small forward.
our second round pick
isn’t as important right now
when we know more about what our roster is going to look like next year, that’s when it becomes pertinent
not saying it’s not fun to try and guess, but our second round pick is going to be need based for certain
