We are weak on offense and defense. That comes down to coaching. Sorry to say, but Silas just isn’t getting the job done at this stage. We shouldn’t be hoping to not get blew out every game.

That maybe, just maybe, that might come down to the fact that we just aren’t very good? Silas can’t coach the ball into the basket.
Silas can only get so much of a pass for having a bad roster.
With the way we are constantly getting blown out, we will go down as one of the worst teams in NBA history. We’re not that inept on talent. And if we are everyone should be traded away.

Apparently you don’t witness the countless debates I get into it with Michael and Focus and Adam about how decent some of our players are. I’m more optimistic than 99% of the people on this site. a better coached team couldn’t compete on any given night. We shouldn’t come into a game fearing a squad of Noah, Brewer, Korver, and Deng, should blow us out the water. Beat us? Sure. Blow out? No. Think about of Rip and Rose were playing. We’d probably be down 30 at this point.

I'm not saying it's completely Silas' fault.
I’m sure he’s being forced to do some things that he doesn’t want to do by the front office, and he’s still one of the better coaches in the league at reaching young players. However, we should at least be able to keep from getting into 20+ point holes at halftime. It happens a lot more often then it doesn’t now. For an NBA squad, that’s a joke.

The only thing I care about this season
Is the development of our rookies and young guys. So far so good, I like our development there, but hate our vets for this team (they would be great individual pieces on other teams)

I wish we would have signed PG, Jeremy Lin.
He scored 20+ in each of his first 3 games with the Knicks. His 4th game with the Knicks just got started and he already has 10 points, 3 assists, and 1 steal in 7 minutes against the Lakers. Of course, it had to be a big market team to happen upon him.
He is overrated right now,
but he is definiately someone that could help our backcourt.

Lins 4 game stint > better than ANY member of our current team has done. The difference is LIN gets to play.
Dragic actually had a stretch in which he went 20, 32,12,13..no they arent Lin numbers but those numbers came from off the bench. But I understand. But again, they are basically the same player. Just one gets to play after one performance and the other doesnt…
i'm curious
in what ways are they the “same player”?
lin constantly breaks down defenses and then penetrates to the basket drawing fouls
that’s not even close to dragic’s game
just because they play the same position and get similar numbers, (not even that similar, lin dominates him in almost every category), doesn’t make them the “same player”
At least Bismack is close to a double double.

I realize we've already blown this thing up, but.....
it’s time to blow it up again to get a new collection of parts. I don’t know if what would get after blowing it up again could be any worse than what it currently is.
Our Biggest mistake
was giving Henderson a extension. MJ also needs to keep his nose out of the selection process, He see’s himself in players that dont remind us of him in the slightest, The fans eat it up too. I say we have a firesale and get every player in Cho’s database. This season calls for a firesale…people say knee jerk but aint nothing knee jerk about blowing up a team that cant win 4 games after playing nearly 30…

Ever considered that? Honestly, you admitted you would blow up the entire roster and start over next year. So having said that, what do you think the trade value is of all the guys that suck so bad we should just let them walk?

No…he is way past the point of being overrated…He’s good. But he isnt a player that I would just go out and trade Augustin for. He has to do more than just 4 games… I just dont see what is the difference between him and when Marcus Thornton finally went to the Kings? Same exact story…His last two months of last season was INCREDIBLE…and he is still doing it despite playing with future Allstars Cousins and Evans…

oh and the difference between what lin is doing and what thornton did?
about 6 points 4 and a half assists, 4 free throw attempts and a half a steal per game
you know, while shooting at a considerably higher percentage despite taking 2 more shots per game
oh and a perfect win percentage vs a .391, with less talent and an 8 man rotation
oh and "still doing it"????
thornton has been nothing short of terrible this season
he just had his first truly good game against the Lakers (27 points on 9-13 shooting, 5 boards, 3 assists and a steal)
.402 shooting % and just over 15 shots to get 17.4 points? ouch…
