Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Bobcats seemed to have things pretty much figured out, jumping to a 21-point lead in the second quarter on the strong play of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. But then it all fell apart and the Hornets roared back for the win despite finishing with zero fast break points and a deficit in points in the paint of 26 points.

They got strong performances from MKG, Kemba Walker (15 points and 9 assists) and Gerald Henderson (19 points on 10 FGA and filling the stat sheet), but it wouldn't be enough to stop the Hornets.

The Hornets got very little from their starting crew but were energized by the return of Eric Gordon and, strangely enough, Roger Mason Jr.

Gordon fueled New Orleans despite not shooting particularly well, by getting to the free throw line with a vengeance.

Charlotte tried to stem the tide late, but time would not permit their last breath at a comeback and the 18th-straight loss was complete.
