This is getting ridiculous. I am a HUGE Bobcats fan. I watch every game. I go to games. I buy the apparel even after a 7-59 season. But at some point, even I cannot take it anymore. There has to be a point where the management realizes that this team is beyond awful and go get some NBA ready players through trades. I understand the goal of tanking seasons and getting players through the draft but there are problems with this strategy. 1) The Draft is hit or miss. Some highly sought prospects turn into Tyrus Thomas. 2) Lets face it, Charlotte is not a glamorous place to play. Some players drafted will leave as soon as they are developed and finally able to really help the team for the draw of the larger market NY or LA teams. 3) If you tank every year until the team is built with 1 overall picks, there aren't going to be any fans left. I feel I am a Bobcats fanatic and am losing faith and almost cant stand watching anymore. I only imagine how people that are Luke Warm to the team or don't care at all feel. Have you guys seen or been to a game lately? The stands are usually empty, and of the fans there, most are cheering for the opposing team. I feel that there are trades that could be made to get young players that could really help this team (say a PF or C). I guess I'm just super frustrated at the mediocrity of this team. I'm pretty tired of being the laughing stock of the NBA, which it appears we will be again this year. I'm tired of my team getting national recognition for how bad they are and how many games they have lost in a row. Were 0-2 against the now 7-23 hornets. We can't even beat the other garbage teams.I guess I'm just venting my frustration on a blog, which is pretty lame. But this is what this team has brought me to. Its that bad.
