PrintIt was tough to watch the Bobcats lose to the Wizards on January 28th. However, it was worth the price of admission to see Kemba Walker get a triple double, Byron Mullens score a career high 23 points, and watch the worst free throw in the history of the NBA.

Gana Diop shooting a Free Throw during the 2nd Half of the Charlotte Bobcats / Washington Wizards Game on January 28th. The unusually large crowd was laughing for several minutes after seeing this.

And maybe as sad as it gets. I wish the guy would just swallow his pride and shoot it granny-style…I can’t believe i just said that, but it’s true!

Perplexing that it was THIS airballed free throw from Diop that drew national fame.
Two or three seasons ago, it was practically a given that Gana would hit nothing but hardwood in one out of every two free throws. It’s even more odd that this airball caught the national media’s attention in a game between the NBA’s two worst teams.

This is the norm for Diop. I actually EXPECT him to shoot air balls. Lol.

Until I saw it on Inside the NBA tonight and Shaq was making fun of Diop for that one.
