"Walker isn’t a point guard. I get some grief when I write that, and that’s fine, but some of you don’t get that Walker is much more a scorer in a vacuum than a facilitator...If Walker continues down this path, he’s a combo guard off the bench. He’s not a lead guard."

Well doesn't this make you happy?
And isn’t everyone around here clueless for thinking he would come in and turn into a pass first point guard over night, in a season which he’s been brought off the bench for most games anyway.

Instant transformation and showing SOME signs of improvement are totally different things.

You are basing this off of a start of the season
With no offseason you have no proof nothing to show that he will never be a good PG. All Bonnell saying is he needs to learn so I dont know why you posted the article. You can keep saying what you want because you have nothing to base it on because you have not seen enough, no matter what you say you cannot base an opinion yet.
Sure I can.
20 games of decidedly non NBA-caliber PG game from a guy who already had three years in college to learn the game is plenty for me.

You know guys, maybe if we stop responding to his putridness
MP will crawl back under his bridge… at least until the Three Billy Goats Gruff come by.

OK...moving forward...
IF we are in agreement that Kemba is not the pass first, PG of the future for the team, do we plan to match any offers for DJ Augustin? Is there a PG we are eyeing in the draft? Is there a blockbuster free agent plan to bring in CP3 and Howard this summer?
I’d love to hear more discussion and less attacking. I don’t see eye to eye, but Procton always has some basis for his argument.
Michael, your offer is still open to have your own section at Trade Street Post if you wish. You just say the word.

Hahahaha.
Ya know, if MP had his own section and it was appropriately titled (I’m thinking “The Pessimist’s Corner” or something), then I would definitely visit to read his stuff. It just needs a sort of disclaimer like that to really make the reader aware of what they are about to read. I think the main reason that I sometimes get frustrated with MP here is because I expect optimism when I read posts. Then, I’m suddenly reading something filled with negativity or pessimism and it hits me harder.
Seriously MP – if Andrew is offering you the ability to write your own articles for TSP, consider it. I would read it, at least.

Michael get's to call it whatever he wants to call it...
Our only rule is no profanity…
And it will have a disclaimer
:-)
Come on MP…shoot me a message….
Do it!
I am sincere and serious about this.

Unlike many, I believe it is smart to lock up young players to market-rate deals any chance you get.
If you let them go because it’s too expensive (see Okafor, Emeka), you simply have extra cash to throw at a new problem which you had solved and then created for yourself.

dj's never accomplished this feat
kemba did this in how many starts?

It was a fine game...
But when you nearly double your career-high in assists in one game and you’re a PG, it kind of screams fluke.

Coming out of college it was obvious he was not a pass first PG.
But I believe he can become a good PG in time.
+1
