So the Bobcats will have Henderson through the 2012-2013 season, after which he'll become a restricted free agent.

The man is a cornerstone if not THE cornerstone (so far) of the organization. Gotta keep him for stability and as we move forward.

Bobcats can also make or decline to make Henderson an extension offer next season, like teams are now with 2008 draft picks

Hendo

Anyone think he’s going to win us a championship or get into the Hall of Fame? LOL

He could be a piece of a Championship team.

That’s certainly not outside the realm of possibility.

Also, I don’t think he has to be an All-Star or HOFer to be worthy of a freaking Rookie contract extension. He’s becoming/is a quality NBA SG and an asset worth hanging on to.

Are you implying that he is a failure for not being hall of fame caliber?

I like the move. I don't think he'll be a Hall of Famer.

I think his ceiling is a more offensively gifted Dahntay Jones.

You dont have to insult the guy

he is better than Dahntay Jones already and is still improving. His ceiling is closer to Aaron Afflalo then D Jones.

hope we can lock him up

Hopefully during next season we can work out an extension with him at a reasonable price. I’m curious to see what people think would be reasonable contract terms for him.
