Neither team
The salaries just work. Nobody is taking Diop. At least not Utah. Plus a pick or something has to be specified. And we wouldnt do it bc we have to take both Harris and Jefferson. Maybe one. Def not both.
Good job guys...
Making sure we’re all still in the same mindset
Bobcats Basketball is my only pro sports passion...
I think if you look at the higher level metrics for this trade...
it still sucks eggs. And no one does it. And Utah’s GM is probably getting fired right now because someone even mentioned this as a possibility.
Utah loves Al Jefferson
why would they trade him?
Have you checked the rankings lately? Utah is 5th seed and 8-2 in their last ten. Why would they change anything? I was definately wrong about Sacramento making it, but I was definately right about the Northwest fielding four teams in the playoffs. Hell, with the way Minny has been playing, they could turn things around and the NW could have 5 teams! Although I can’t imagine both LA teams not making it for that to happen.
i apologize
is this came off as negative or counter productive
HOW ABOUT THIS TRADE
CHARLOTTE GET DEMARCUS COUSINS, PAUL MILSAP, AND CJ MILES-GET INSIDE SCORING
UTAH GET DIAW, AUGUSTIN, JASON THOMPSON AND DONTE GREEN-ALL EXPIRING
SAC GETS DEVIN HARRIS AND TYRUS THOMAS-GET LEGIT POINT GUARD, DEFENSE AND REBOUNDING
We come out way too good under that scenario.

Utah is pretty good
Why would they trade their assets just to get expiring contracts?

EVEN THOUGH THEIR GOOD
They have to get minutes to Favors and Kanter. Also this would allow Harris to leave because he’s unhappy there and not producing. Sacramento has no pure point guard. This would allow Utah to be active in free agency where they could get a shooting guard(Mayo,Young, Gordon, Fields) and a small forward(Batum, Beasley, W Chandler). They could keep DJ for less than Harris.
Even Though Thier Good
They could also pursue JR Smith. Sacramento get defensive with Harris and Thomas. Cousins dont want to be there. You could play Evans at the 3, Thorton at the 2, and Harris at the one. They still under the cap with money to spend. Sacramento would probably be in the lottery also, so they are able to draft another big and spend in free agency.
To Bobcat
I think that all teams come out good in this scenario.
I think you're underestimating the value of Cousins to the Kings,
but otherwise I think it’s a good trade.

Im not underestimating
his value to the Kings. I think the Kings are high on Cousins but Cousins isnt high on the Kings. Everything smooth right now because of the new coach, but at anytime he can be a distraction if things dont go his way. I think if we throw in a 1st round pick with it its possible to get done. Thats our big man for the future.

anytime you see a coach vs player argument*
and one of them gets fired/traded, then it’s usually that person’s fault (in this case the coache’s)
- when the player isn’t a superstar
I don't think it would be a good move for us to deal any more draft picks away at this point.
Especially not for a player who has already earned a reputation as a head case.

I mean, we're positioned for the top pick in the draft.
Cousins isn’t worth that in my eyes.
