Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

Sounds like Wallace will be opting out of his current deal this summer, which puts Portland in an interesting quandary. They'll probably have to overpay to keep him.

Unless Allen loves G-Force

He’s not getting signed back in Portland

The fans like him very much and he's already becoming a glue guy there, which they need.

Personal attacks are the weapon of the ignorant.

But

Paul Allen is tired of spending money on his team. It has been boring for him

Bring him back.

We won’t get any better free agent and we have no SF. I would LOVE for this to happen, even though there’s a 99% chance it won’t.

Boone Logan is a good boy. So is David Robertson. Team A.J.

Nah...

I was happy to keep him around, but his cost:benefit ratio just doesn’t make sense for this team. By the time they’re going to be competitive (which even most optimistically is about three years away), I can’t see him having a lot left to offer.

he will porbably sign with dallas

this summer, they wanted him before, and when they sign d-howard and d-will they will be the latest greatest superteam.

dwill
terry
wallace
nowitski
howard

WOW

They won't have enough cap room to sign all of them unless they get rid of

everybody and they would still be pushing it.

that's impossible

no way can they afford all of them.

Here are some of my conservative predictions
jason terry gets $6-8MM/season for 2-3 seasons
dwight howard gets at least $19MM/season for 5 seasons
deron williams gets at least $18MM/season for 5 seasons (likely stays with nets anyway)
nowitzki is due $20.9MM next season and $22.7MM the season after.
gforce gets at least $14MM/season 3-5 years

PLUS they owe shawn marion $8.6MM next season and another $9.3MM the season after
PLUS they owe brendan haywood $38MM over the next 4 seasons.

Boone Logan is a good boy. So is David Robertson. Team A.J.

your right, but....

they are at 70 plu mill this season, way into tax land, and cuban dosent give a f#@& about money period. if he can get will and howard (probably miss on terry resign, go cheap with carter again at SG) hes got a squad. plus he would probably amnesty marion, again not being stopped by money. they need haywood as a backup to howard.
will (17 mill) west (1 mill)
carter (1 mill) vet (1mill)
wallace (13 mill) wright (700k)
nowtizki (20 mill) manhini (900k)
howard (18 mill) haywood (7 mill)

thats 78 mill their paying 70 plus right now. not so far off…..
