I don’t understand why the Bobcats would sell Jeremy Tyler for $2M. The kid has made mistakes in the past but is a physical freak with lottery size and athleticism. Wouldn’t it be better to send the kid to the D-League and see if he grows up? Isn’t the second round all about taking chances on potential? Even if there is only a 10% chance he grows up it appears to be worth the risk for a team that is clearly rebuilding for the next few years.
Generally I like the Bobcat’s draft and plan but this move baffled me. Curious what others think.
