All Bobcats fan and the organization know this is a critical draft for the team. Why some feel this is a weak draft I feel differently. The Bobcats had a very hard time scoring last season which I think finding offensive minded players should be the primary focus of this draft. I think this would be a good year for Jordan to show the fans and the city he is commited to improving the team by taking advantage of teams wanting to sell or trade draft picks starting with Minnesota. Me personally, I would buy a pick and then offset the cost by trading a player such as a Stephen Jackson who has multiple years left for expiring contracts. Boris would be the one I prefer but I'm sure he has no trade value. Now all of this hypothetical thinking or part of my draft strategy if I was GM. The Bobcats have the 9th, 19th, and 39th pick currently. I would buy Minnesota 20th pick if willing because I'm not sure they want to add two more young players to team.
9. SF-Jordan Hamilton 19. C- Nikola Vucevic 20. SG- Marshon Brooks 39. PG - Malcolm Lee, Andrew Goudelock or Isiah Thomas. I see Hamilton as the team future primary player, Vucevic is a skilled 7footer with great shooting ability out to 3pt line but plays in the post. Compares to Sabonis as far as skill set. Brooks would be the potent six man we need in the role of Jamal Crawford. Interesting to here true fans thoughts?
