How are you guys!!!!

There has been a good bit of chatter around here lately about the draft, and reasonably so. But here is my stance on a couple of points that have brought up:

"Let's trade the picks"-

How about let's not trade the picks. What good does it do to trade for someone like Rudy Gay, when we won't make the playoffs with him. There is a reason that his team did better AFTER he got hurt. They have much less chemistry without him on the floor then they do with him on it. This draft may not be a draft that will stand out a couple of years from now, but do you guys not think that it would be better to have 3 players than 1? I mean there may or may not be someone within reach of our pick who will be as offensively gifted as Rudy Gay, but he does have quite a few limitations (defense, passing out of double teams etc...) Instead of Rudy Gay, we could presumably get Bismack Biyombo, Jordan Hamilton and Jordan Williams. Those three could be phenomenal players down the road for us, and possibly impact players this year.

"Trade Tyrus Thomas"/"Morris Twins"

Without being biased, I don't think trading Tyrus is the best idea. UNLESS we can get another top 10 pick for him, then I would do it. If we could get Bismack Biyombo in a trade for Tyrus, then I might consider it, but the Morris twins? Really? They arent even that good. They will be mediocre at best. Marcus' best case scenario is Al Harrington, and I don't think anyone looks at him and says WOW! Just a few short months ago we all were clammoring for Tyrus to unseat Boris as the starting Power Forward, now you guys wnat him out of town. Yes, he may have some maturity issues, but the emotion he plays with each and every game is hard to come by. He is a tenacious defender and has the potential to mold into a nice offensive player. He could be a poor mans Amare Stoudemire.

In closing, please don't let your impulses get in the way of what is best for this team. We have to calculate every move that we make in order to be successful, and some of the things that are being said around here are impulsive and out of spite.

Let's think through this process and lets try to get three impact players in this years draft.
