Today's Tunes:

Apostrophe by Frank Zappa

Game Overview: Well, this should be fun, right? The Bobcats are on the road against Portland, on the tail end of a back-to-back, coming off a loss to the Lakers, without Stephen Jackson. Oh, and they're facing the former face of the franchise in Gerald Wallace, who has been impressing Portland fans out west.

This could get really ugly. The Bobcats' best scoring option is now D.J. Augustin, who has been inconsistent lately. The next best bets? Henderson, Livingston, um... yeah.

However, the Trail Blazers have the slowest pace in the league, so the Bobcats won't need too much scoring. They'll just have be much more efficient. The challenge is tough. Regardless, the Cats will really need to step their game up defensively to combat their own lack of scoring.

Key Matchup: Boris Diaw vs LaMarcus Aldridge. Yup, you read that right. At the very least, Boris will have to employ his (usually) above-average post defense against the all-star quality power forward who has become the focal point of Portland's offense. Can he completely contain Aldridge? Probably not. Without Jackson, Boris also needs to step up and be more aggressive as a scoring threat. Sounds outrageous to me too, sigh.
