Oh, hey there. I'm Joshua Priemski, but you can call me Josh. I'm not sure what could have possibly enticed Ben to let me write on RoF, but I'm thankful to be a part of such a great basketball community. I'm not very good with introductions, so I apologize beforehand if this seems choppy or pretentious.
Let's start with the elephant in the room: I'm Canadian. Most people think Canada is a giant walk-in freezer and home to hockey fanatatics. That's true, but I was lucky enough to be born in Toronto. Toronto in a nutshell is Canada's New York - if New York was having an affair with San Francisco. That means that I'm quirky, arrogant and passionate about things I don't understand. Like Shaun Livingston.
That said, one of the things I know way too much about is basketball. I probably own upwards of thirty books on basketball and carry two around with me everywhere (in most cases, NBA Coaches Playbook and the reprint of Rockin' Steady: A Guide to Basketball and Cool). I spend countless hours reading basketball blogs, watching videos of obscure players on Youtube and making illogical arguments about my findings on Twitter.
Basketball aside, I drink a lot of tea. My favoUrite (see what I did there?) variety is chai, without a question. I'm currently enrolled at George Brown in Toronto, studying journalism. See, this is where it gets choppy.
I'm open to criticism and hope most of you are willing to rip my ideas and thoughts to shreds. My best work comes from defending myself.
Ben and I haven't determined how often I'll be writing for RoF, but I'm anticipating that over time I can make more regular, more consistent contributions. I'm on Twitter 24/7 (Blackberries may be the greatest invention ever), so you can always get in touch there.
Thanks! I'm very excited to be a part of Charlotte's basketball community on SBN. If you have any questions, comment and I'll do my best to answer them.
