DJ THE CO CAPTAIN
Think the owner will have enough $$ to resign him when his deal is up?

To be perfectly honest
If Augustine’s Augustin’s consistency doesn’t improve between now and 2013, I don’t think the owner would want to resign him.

You know, I really wouldn't have a problem with that.
I really want D.J. to succeed, as we all do (I think). However, I truly believe he has to be a 20-10 guy, or very close to it, in order to justify playing him in long stretches where his defensive limits may be exposed. Livingston, on the other hand, plays very stout defense, and uses his height very well on both sides of the floor.
In a perfect world, both of them would be tearing it up for us night in and night out. For some strange reason though, they can’t seem to both be efficient in the same game. It’s as if there’s only one bottle of mojo between the two of them on any given night.

+1
Agree on all points. I just love the way Livingston uses his size advantage against all the PGs in the league. That, alone, makes our team more dynamic and exciting to watch. Really reminds me of Magic Johnson. And I really want to see him live up to that potential of being the next Magic. AS for DJ, well, we could use him as a trade bait for a solid bigman (if, of course, we draft Kemba Walker).
Im thinking of Bargniani for DJ straight up. Same with Brook Lopez, that guy can’t play D and rebound the ball but he can stretch out the defense with his perimeter shots. It’ll give us another scoring option besides Jax and Liv.

umm...Bargnani's contract is bad, mm'kay?
It’s a monster that peaks at a cool $12 million in 2014. We’d have to include another player that the Raptors would actually want (Thomas?), and I’m not too sure they would want Augustin to begin with. Toronto should be pretty pleased with Calderon, as he has the 2nd best ATT in the league.
Our best option as far as DJ is concerned is to ride out his rookie contract, and if his performance warrants an extension, fine. If not, wish him well.

Lol. I knew it.
No one would want Bargs as a Bobcat. Sorry, too much 2k11 for me I guess. HEH

Yeah, 2k11 is not good for basing real life nba decisions on haha
Otherwise the Trail Blazers would have kicked Andre Miller to the curb. Dang sub 40% fg and won’t pass to my MyPlayer…
