LeBron vs. Melo?
I had been watching 1st and Ten yesterday and the question was posed who would you rather have between LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. This question was posed obviously because of the Knicks' win over the Heat the night before. When the question was first asked, I thought it was an easy decision; LeBron James. I was shocked when Skip Bayless and the two Stus unanimously chose Carmelo. Today I was watching Mike and Mike in the Morning and they addressed the question. They both thought that it was hardly a question and that they would take LeBron in a second. They proceeded to have emails flood the show with nearly all of them insisting Carmelo was the better overall player and that he made his teammates better.
My response: WHAT?! Do people hate LeBron that much?
I'm not hating on Carmelo here, he's a great player. But to say he's better than LeBron? LeBron has across the board better stats in his career, is a superior defender, a much more impressive playoff resume, and not two mention two MVP's! He turned the garbage that is Cleveland's roster into the best team in the NBA. The one thing I would give Carmelo an edge over LeBron is that the ice runs much thicker in his blood.
I see this as a ridiculously easy choice but I thought I'd ask y'all on here since most everyone seems to be well-informed basketball fans.

I agree with you...
this debate is ridiculous. I think some people need to let “The Decision” go. Everything about it was in poor taste (besides any donations to charitable causes that took place behind the scenes), but it didn’t change the fact the LBJ is simply the best player in the NBA right now.
Who doesn’t believe that the Knicks wouldn’t trade Melo for James straight up in a New York minute?

LeBron is far and away the better player.

LeBron James plays a certain something.
Look it up, its in the dictionary.
Lebron>>>>>Melo
I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

I would rather have Kevin Durant.

Bayless gets paid to say stupid things
No offense to our home team, but he predicted they’d make it to the conference finals last year… Please.
Yes, people hate LeBron that much.
Not me though. It’s not even a question about who the superior player is between the two. It’s LeBron all day.

HA HA HA
Really, this is even a real question? I’m not a fan of either, but Lebron hands down. Melo is so one dimensional its crazy.
