How do you think the NBA draft should be conducted?

Should it be in order of wins over the past 3 years? Should it be like the NHL draft in 2005? Or is there another way you think it should be arranged?

There has been a mistake some people made about how the NHL draft was structured that I would like to clear up. They distributed balls to each team. Each team got 1,2, or 3. The number depended on whether the team got a #1 pick in the last 3 years and whether the team made the playoffs in the last 3 years. 5 teams in the NBA didnt have either of those and would receive 3 balls, 10 fit one of the criteria (either getting #1 pick or going to the playoffs once). 15 teams either got a #1 pick and went to the playoffs or went to the playoffs more than once in the last 3 years. Because of that arrangement it is hard to put the order of what pick each team will have. For the Bobcats they have an equal chance of getting as good as the #6 pick and as bad as the #15. The NHL only had a total of 48 balls to be drawn whereas the NBA had 1000 whenever they did the draft lottery. I have my own thoughts on how the draft should be arranged. What are yours?
