It is as we feared.

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), which represents the NBA players, for those who don't know, declared in a press conference this afternoon that they would be filing a "disclaimer of interest" today. In effect, this would dissolve the union, allowing the players to sue the NBA under anti-trust laws. If the courts find in favor of the players and grant them an injunction, it would force the NBA to resume as soon as possible. But I have absolutely zero clue how likely that is.

Could there still be a season? Don't make me laugh. This will be an arduous court process that likely won't be resolved for a while. Slim to none are optimistic chances.
