True Hoop: All hail GMs who quit on bad players

Among a team's most precious resources are high draft picks. Perhaps an even more precious resource is playing time. So, you blew a huge draft pick on somebody who didn't work out. Bummer. But now, you're going to compound the error by blowing even more resources on the same dude? Put simply, this is a post about fear of failure. As any management guru can tell you, failure to produce isn't quite the worst thing that can happen -- failure to identify those who aren't producing and failure to replace them is. For the Bobcats, I'm hoping we get people in the organization who aren't so afraid of failure that they refuse to even start down the path of finding out whether or not new players can produce.
