Around 4:15pm this afternoon, I bumped into Boris Diaw, "walking" his dogs in Freedom Park.

man that's just pathetic.
I’m insane lazy, and I even WALK my dog twice a day.

Don't get mad..
But Boris is growing on me…and after a back to back and a game tomorrow…

Wasn't it warm in Charlotte?
In Chapel Hill it’s like near 60. Boris looks like he’s wearing a big poofy jacket!

Cold in the shade?
The wind from riding?
I don’t know
Just making excuses for him

It's his disguise - like Michael Jackson though, he sticks out even more!
It’s not like everyone in town walks their pooches with a Segway.
Speaking of which, didn’t he used to have more dogs than that? Methinks there may be a couple of canine corpses with treadmarks on their asses in Diaw’s basement.
P.S. - Is it an interim fling or a permanent bromance?

pretty sure that's not Boris.
but a pretty good jab at him. I could be wrong.

Hardly a jab. And it was him. We chatted for a moment and I told him I appreciated watching him play.

I stand corrected.
I figured since the pics were all from the side and behind that it was a gag. Looks like I’m the a-hole. lol. Awesome post! Did he smell?

Smell from what?
I don’t think he bothers perspiring from anything else in his life besides basketball games (which is still not a given).

Lol. I'm gonna start reporting you for Spam
Andrew if you keep giving your site these cheap plugs.

Cheap? Spam?
I love Spam! Spamburgers….
Perhaps we could get them to be a sponsor for the aforementioned site.

Like I said, Andrew has more plugs than Duke power.
I keep expecting David to burn down our offices in the middle of the night.
We’re working up a revival of the King Arthur story with Andrew in the role of Sir Spamalot.
All kidding aside… David, we do plug RoF quite often. We’re working on setting up a link widget on our sidebar and RoF will be the first name we put on it.
Also, just a general FYI to everyone, I was given a Kindle by my son recently and one of the things I learned about it is that if you have the WiFi model you can subscribe to blogs through Amazon. RoF IS on the roster and since I don’t presently have a smart phone, it’s a way for me to keep up with the game/post when I’m away from the house or at the Cable Box. It’s less than $2 a month to subscribe. I don’t know how many of you would want to own Kindles or may already have one, but it’s a nice way to support the site. For y’all it’s just a couple of bucks, but if enough of us subscribe, it can add up to a nice bit o’ cash for David even after Amazon takes their cut.

The amazing thing to me
Is how David bumped into Boris on a segway and was mature enough to keep a straight face and have a conversation with him. I would have been laughing my tail off!
Oh no! We suck again!

I would have at the very least asked if I could take the Segway for a spin.
After a turn around the path, I’d return it and then walk away without an autograph request. When he asks why I’d say, “I have no idea who the hell you are. Are you supposed to be famous or something? Are you like a local weatherman? I’ve just always thought Segways were really cool!”
Think he’d still be nonchallant, or would I be getting a handlebar enema?

Even if you sold it perfectly
I bet Boris would give an earnest smile for your honest remark, lean slightly forward, and remain perfectly still as he whisked away without a care in the world.

LOL, at first I glanced at the photo
and didn’t see the segway until people pointed it out in the comments.
gotta love ol’ Boris

You know what?
At this point, as long as he saves it for the game, I will keep my lips sealed.

I can't even remember how that song goes...
I’ll have to try and remember to listen to it when I get home.
