Why would we need to trade Gerald Wallace? Can anyone of us s fans think of a good reason?

Is he too old? no.

Is he destructive to the team? no.

Are we better off without him? Heecccckkkk noooooo.

The Cavs want him but unless we get someone or something that will make an immediate impact on our team in return why wold we do it?

Fox sports Ohio is reporting that the Cavs are closing in on a deal for Gerald that would give us their 14.5 million dollar trade exception.  I may be an idiot but I have no idea what a trade exception is going to help us with.
