"The Trade" isn't dead yet.

Watching ESPN First Take this morning, there was a report (Stein) of 'Melo possibly planning to stay away from media day in Denver. Reports from those "close to 'Melo" say that he really wants out of Denver and the team's last ditch effort to change his mind at media day are futile.

And we're jumping...

With that being said, we could still possibly be left out. I think a lot of the recent trade scenarios ('Melo to Philadelphia) are smokescreens hoping to bring in a new and better deal for Denver. Since 'Melo has already stated that he will NOT sign an extension with Philly, I don't see how this happens. And that's not even counting the fact that NJ's offer is much better.

The report also stated that this could drag out for most of the week, so this could take a while. However, if 'Melo does skip out on media day, Denver should finally get the message and the progression of this (or another) trade should speed up.
