I'll admit, this off-season has been a tad discouraging, but watching this video got got me pretty pumped and served as a little reminder of how much fun our Bobcats can be.

It especially serves as a reminder of the awesomeness of Gerald Wallace.  In retrospect, that Grizzlies game was my favorite of the season.  Felton did all he could to blow it for us with that wild pass, missing the free throws that would have sealed it, and then tossing up that miserable game-winner attempt.  But seeing Gerald deny OJ Mayo like that and following it up with the tip-in of Raymond's aforementioned awful shot at the buzzer made that the most exciting game IMO.

Anyway, it's slightly disheartening seeing Raymond as the catalyst for so many of our greatest moments last year, but I think it's safe to say that with increased playing time for Hendo and a full season of Tyrus, this year's version of the Cats will not suffer from a shortage of highlight-reel moments :)

Nice highlight reel

Worthy of note, I think, is that Felton was directly involved in at least half of those 10 clips (including assists). I won’t miss the inflated contract that it would’ve taken to retain him, but I will miss Ray.

Also, it was very encouraging to see Henderson featured in two of the highlights, which is remarkable to me considerable how little playing time he received last season.

As for the poll, I was tempted to go with Thomas or Henderson, but our all-star is going to steal the show…again.

*considerable = considering

Where’s the auto grammar check box?

Sure, but Felton was the PG

and you sorta expect your PG to be involved in most of the highlight-reel plays.

A look back and a look forward...

I think that some of those late game highlights were needed because we had an out of control PG that time after time made terrible decisions, especially in late-game situations. I love Raymond, but he never seemed to learn from his previous mistakes. Too many turnovers. I think we will see a big improvement in those areas with Shaun Livingston. I like D.J., but it seems like the only way he can effect a game is with his shot. I want a PG that thinks and plays like one. The only real PG on our roster is Mr. Livingston. If he can stay healthy, i think we will have many more highlights to come.

something i noticed from Raymond in the playoffs

was he wasnt really running the team he was going way to fast to make things happened and didnt and it seems like if Raymond would have took a little more time then the team could of found a better shot and scored more points. it just seems like to me Raymond was to excited and too nervose

Agreed

I have seen that behavior his whole career. I think it was just magnified in the playoffs. I always wanted to fool myself into thinking that his mental lapses would disappear, but during the playoffs i knew what i had always known. Ray was, is, and always will be a combo guard. He just doesn’t value the ball like a PG should. Great heart and warrior for sure, just not a PG i want to build and grow around. We tried, and it didn’t work. Glad both teams have moved on.

Haven't watched the reel yet but...

“I’m still in denial…CP3!” Lol that option makes me laugh and what makes me laugh even more is that 3 people voted for it. I think Wallace and TT will own as most of the highlight reels have dunks. Although Jac. will not be far behind them with his shooting and what not. Cant wait for the season to start.

I win as if im used to it, and i loose as if i like it for a change.

Where's Derrick Brown?

I think given the sufficient amount of playing time next season, we will see a fair share of his highlights.

+1

He definitely should have had a cameo in the video.
I remember in that raptors game where we annihilated them early he got a lot of time and had a couple of sick dunks, including a sort of rock the cradle reverse if i recall correctly…that deserved a spot.

Gerald Wallace is the way, the truth, and the light

This year will be scattered with clips of the "Derr-Devil"

and everyone will say…Shannon Brown…never heard of him…but this Derrick Brown kid…wow what a well rounded game he has…and athleticism to boot
