Right? Dude is a stud at PG. how do we get him?? do we dangle expiring contracts, give up more draft picks if we have any left this decade..., set up a multi-team trade?
How about this...
Hornets get: Javale McGee, Boris Diaw, Bobcats 1st round pick
Wizards get: Emeka Okafor, DJ Augustin
Bobcats get: Darren Collison, James Posey, Hornets 2nd round pick
it's the most enticing deal i can devise so far...

this is pure beauty
but it doesnt work because the Wizards have money problems. they would probably have to give away Arenas’s contract, but thats negated by Okafor coming in.
one thing you could do is just go:
NO gets: Diaw and cash (Raja’s trade exception?) or pick
Charlotte gets: Collinson and Posey
NO only does this to shed salary and wipe Diaw’s 9mill off the books at the end of the season.
i still doubt they do this though.

fooled around enough and got this to happen
my doubts on that one too. maybe throw some picks in here and there.
this would give NO a Chandler/Okafor-esque swap if youre looking strictly at contracts. the Cats get CP3s understudy, and the Clippers get a playmate for Blake Griffin

I actually would rath have diaw the 1st and dj
If all we are getting is collisin and posey… Really doesn’t excite me, I feel we could get WAY more for them

I don't think this trade happens... there's nothing in it for New Orleans or Washington
Both the Hornets are Wizards are looking to shed salaries, not take more on. I know New Orleans gets rid of Okafor, but they also lose the bad contract of a starter to take on a bad contract of a backup, because Diaw would slot in behind David West.
Washington would now have a glut at PG: Wall, Arenas, Hinrich and Augustin. Also, they are extremely high on McGee because he can develop into a run and gun athletic center… essentially getting Okafor kills what they’re trying to turn that team into.
Last but not least I think the Hornets are more willing to part with Chris Paul that Darren Collison. One source inside their organization said that there was a distinct feeling that they think Collison could wind up being better than Paul, now before people scoff at that look at their per 36 comparison for 2009-10:
Paul: 17.7 ppg, 0.493 FG%, 0.409 3P%, 10.1 apg
Collison: 16.5 ppg, 0.477 FG%, 0.400 3P%, 7.6 apg
That was Collison’s rookie season, so it’s reasonable to believe he’ll grow.
