My friends and I sat down and settled in with some snacks to watch "Hot Tub Time Machine" (pretty enjoyable.  Silly and stupid, but in a good way) and we waited for the film to start as the trailers played.  What was one of the trailers that played, you ask?   A movie where the Nets are the star.

Well, perhaps not 'the star' of the film, but yes friends, the New Jersey Nets feature a prominent role in some romantic comedy with Queen Latifah and Common entitled "Just Wright."   In the film, Common stars as 'NBA All-Star Scott McKnight' who apparently gets injured and falls in love with his physical therapist, played by Latifhah.  Or something.  Dywane Wade, Dwight Howard, Stuart Scott and others cameo in the film. 

Anyway, every time they showed Common in a Nets jersey, there were several chuckles in the theater, as there were every time the trailer showed shots of the Nets playing.

I couldn't help but laugh myself.
