Open Gameday Thread Charlotte Bobcats at Miami Heat

Charlotte Bobcats at Miami Heat, Mar 20, 2010 7:30 PM EDT

TV: Fox Sports Carolinas
Radio: 610 AM
SB Nation Heat Blog: Peninsula Is Mightier

If the Bobcats change their name, that could give singular team names a majority in the Southeast Division. We must not let this happen. Won't someone please think of the children?

UH-oh

Am I the only member of the Rufus Clown Posse in the house tonight?
No way everybody forgot about THIS game! We gotta get some back from last night!

ROOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL CAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 7:33 PM EDT reply actions

Stephen Jackson said this morning

that he felt like he owed his team one for choking last night. He wants to make it up tonight.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 7:42 PM EDT reply actions

Im not a regular either,

but i’ll be here( at least till the boss gets home. lol)

by griffter10 on Mar 20, 2010 7:42 PM EDT reply actions

Pumped to see some Bobcats!!

I predict Gerald and Jack both will have big games.

by MR. MANN on Mar 20, 2010 7:44 PM EDT reply actions

sounds good.

Chicago is giving it to philli. and thats without deng

by griffter10 on Mar 20, 2010 7:44 PM EDT reply actions

League attendance MUST be down.

I’ve seen bigger crowds at high school games.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 7:45 PM EDT reply actions

There is absolutely no one at this game

And opposing team threads usually comment on how few people are at the cable box? Come on, now.

by Stevarino on Mar 20, 2010 7:45 PM EDT reply actions

It sounds loud.

Wonder if it’s like Charlotte where everyone starts out in the nosebleeds and then works their way down from there.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 7:46 PM EDT reply actions

I'm sure your bracket was screwed anyway.

I couldn’t care less about my bracket, these tight games and upsets are making this the best NCAA Tourney since George Mason.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 7:55 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, its funny

I mostly pick the favorites except a few minor upsets but then watch the games and root for the underdogs.

by Stevarino on Mar 20, 2010 7:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Every year I make a holy load of upsets.

Most of them are wrong.
Even this year with all the upsets, most of them are wrong.
Doesn’t matter tho, because I only watch for David v. Goliath.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 7:59 PM EDT up reply actions

Seriously

Can someone guard Richardson? He’s outscoring the Bobcats by himself.

by Stevarino on Mar 20, 2010 7:54 PM EDT reply actions

My one quibble with the FS broadcasts.

What sense does it make to pick the “fast break of the game” in the first quarter every night? Could they at least ATTEMPT to make it seem like it’s a legitimate occurence?

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:03 PM EDT reply actions

Is Miami's coach even out of kinderrgarden yet?

I bet if you got close to him you’d still smell Similac on his breath.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:04 PM EDT reply actions

hello all

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 20, 2010 8:05 PM EDT reply actions

The BobJordanCats woke up from their catnap and have started putting their foot down on the HotHotHot's throat.

I don’t mean to jinx us, but I feel like this game will be put into cruise control by the 3rd quarter.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 8:08 PM EDT reply actions

I'm not sure what Diaw was saying...

But in that slow motion replay they just showed before going to commercial, it looked like he said “f***ing s**t”.

I don’t know why I find this humorous.

by Stevarino on Mar 20, 2010 8:08 PM EDT reply actions

Nobody touching DJ in the lane

I like it. If they keep ignoring him, he’ll make ’em pay for it.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:10 PM EDT reply actions

I'm as happy as the next guy about MJ being at our games, but only for one reason.

The obligatory “Jordan is out on the golf course, he’s no owner!” statement can no longer be uttered.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 8:11 PM EDT reply actions

I get sick of hearing that

There’s too many people that think in order to be a successful owner, you have to be a Mark Cuban clone.

by Stevarino on Mar 20, 2010 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Zero
  1. of championships Mark Cuban has won

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 20, 2010 8:14 PM EDT up reply actions

I hope we trounce these suckas

I want the sweep after the recent history of this series.
Beasley projected easy victory
Wade refuses to give Bobcats any credit for winning the last W after he misses 20 of his last 12 shots

idiot comes onto RoF to predict a win for the Heat before the last Cats-Heat game

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 20, 2010 8:12 PM EDT reply actions

It's all good. I'm a forgivin' sort.

I’ll even let that jaggoff come back and root for the Cats in the playoffs while the Heat plot their lottery pick

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions

i know right?

Id go on a baby punching spree

by griffter10 on Mar 20, 2010 8:19 PM EDT reply actions

probably the league too

which is even more impressive considering he’s been out for so long

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 20, 2010 8:21 PM EDT up reply actions

Okay

After that push on DJ I want to punch Beasley AND his baby.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:21 PM EDT reply actions

How the HELL did Thomas commit the foul there?

Check the end of his arm and see if there’s more than a stump left!

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:22 PM EDT reply actions

I predict

there WILL be fists thrown tonight before this is over tonight.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:24 PM EDT reply actions

So the refs prefer to see Miami in the playoffs?

THat’s what I am seeing by the calls…or lack therof

No wy Tyson wasn’t fouled on that rebound

by andrewlail76 on Mar 20, 2010 8:26 PM EDT reply actions

NCAA Tournament note:

If BYU and Northern Iowa ever happened to play each other, I’m certain it’d break the record for “most white guys to ever play a NCAA Tournament game”.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 8:27 PM EDT reply actions

To say Udonis' name in the same sentence as Alonzo's

is an insult to basketball

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 20, 2010 8:29 PM EDT reply actions

Not a real entertaining game thus far...

Especially when we can’t get a call. We can beat the Heat…but the Heat, the crowd, and the refs…

by andrewlail76 on Mar 20, 2010 8:30 PM EDT reply actions

Heat-Bobcats being demoted to computer.

Wake Forest-Kentucky on.
I may be a NCSU fan, but nothing would make me happier than to see Calli-cheater get ousted.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 8:31 PM EDT reply actions

I think Wade has a string on that ball.

We’ve stolen it from him 4 times and have yet to make it up court with it before it gets stolen back.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 20, 2010 8:32 PM EDT reply actions

6/8 on threes

Doesn’t he ever make less than 50% on 3s? I swear every game against us he makes a majority of the ones he takes.

by RV21 on Mar 20, 2010 8:36 PM EDT up reply actions

He died...

when LeBron blocked his 360 dunk on a breakaway.

by RV21 on Mar 20, 2010 8:37 PM EDT up reply actions

was that last year?

regardless, if he didn’t die then, he most certainly did when he missed an open dunk a while back

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.

That list they just announced was hilarious.

Whenever you can be part of a list including immortals like DeQuan Cook, you have to do it.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 8:40 PM EDT reply actions

his hand was on tyson’s

I bet he cried himself to sleep.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 9:05 PM EDT up reply actions

Get me one and I'll work on a pic for him.

I thought long and hard Thursday for one for him for Ray and DJ…

by andrewlail76 on Mar 20, 2010 9:20 PM EDT up reply actions

LOL

I already got the pic in my head…
I’ll work on it later

by andrewlail76 on Mar 20, 2010 9:23 PM EDT up reply actions

Only thing I could think of was for DJ, and it's kind've lame, I must say.

Danger Jauk.

Jauk- to dwadle.

I’m not particularly skilled at name making.

Within each of us, ofttimes, there dwells a mighty and raging fury.

Dr. David Banner: Do you think we will ever find where that strength comes from?
Dr. Elaina Marks: I don’t know. But we’ll certainly share a lot of donuts together, and I’ll probably get fat.

This announcers voice is getting really annoying.

Don’t know why I didn’t notice it earlier. His accent is horrible.

by PanthersFTW on Mar 20, 2010 9:30 PM EDT reply actions

Please use the 4th quarter overflow thread on the front page.
