Oklahoma City Thunder at Charlotte Bobcats, Mar 17, 2010 7:00 PM EDT

TV: Fox Sports Carolinas
Radio: 610 AM
SB Nation Thunder Blog: Welcome to Loud City

I'll be at this game, so the recap will be delayed a bit. Now, to share a knock-knock joke my brother made up when he was eight years old.

"Knock knock."

"Who's there?"

"Dwayne."

"Dwayne who?"

"Dwayne da' pool! I'm dwowning!"

If we bring that weak mess up against OKC

like we did last night, this game will be over quicker than Chandler can pick up 2 fouls.

Why foul Durant during a layup?

The dude’s automatic from the line, no point in getting a quick second foul

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 17, 2010 7:34 PM EDT reply actions

Deej is trying to prove he's not going to get eaten alive there all night.

Durant was merely informing DJ that for the next 48 minutes he will be Durant’s beeyatch.

hmm

Not very thrilled with this first quarter. I’m here in the Cable Box and anticipated a bigger crowd tonight, what with St. Patrick’s and all.

Hopefully Tue 2nd will be better.

by WhatAboutBob_cats on Mar 17, 2010 7:51 PM EDT reply actions

True enough Bob...

But if they just waited a couple of minutes one of them would have gotten one fair and square. It’s no fun if they don’t have to earn it. They won’t try as hard!

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 17, 2010 7:53 PM EDT up reply actions

Where was the Technical?

Even the announcer said Thomas was called, “for just a gesture.”
We’re getting our butts handed to us, that’s fine. We’re shooting 29% so we deserve it.
But we can do without funky foul calls.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 17, 2010 7:51 PM EDT reply actions

speaking of funky calls

pissed me off last night when LeBron clearly goaltended a layup that would have cut the cavs’ lead to 1. Instead, the pistons couldn’t recover

It's Lebron.

Naismith made that famous “King James” exception when he wrote the rules, remember? It’s right under the old, “Anyone named Michael Jordan gets 4 steps to the basket as long as they stick their tongue out” rule.

Any moment now, a kitchen sink will sail out on the court to play the 2.

No way is the OKC announcer straight.

“In the old days he’s what we call a rough-rider… Let’s talk about Durant’s strength. He backed into that big man, twisted and reached around… and just STUFFED it in the hole.”

Wish I was kidding.

by Ourdaywillcome on Mar 17, 2010 8:01 PM EDT reply actions

I just found out why we lost last night
I came back to the team on March 5th and we beat the Lakers that night. Since then, we’ve won our last six games. But I wouldn’t say I’ve been the difference. I’m just trying to do my part. It’s not all about me. The team has been playing incredible. But it does make a difference when you have all the guys healthy on the floor at the same time.

We only have eight turnovers with 7:00 to go in the game. Last night, we had ten or eleven turnovers at halftime.

Good call.

It’s a definite factor. Our defense has us in it, but it’s our recovery from a DISASTER of a first quarter on the boards and our low turnovers that have us ahead.

Was just checking the scores and your team makes NO sense.

how you can end winning streaks of top teams where you have no chance of winning and then losing to teams where it should be an automatic win.
