SB Nation: Are the Bobcats playoff sleepers?
Think about it. The Bobcats are a respectable 5-8 against the top four teams in the East (Boston, Orlando, Cleveland and Atlanta), but that record is misleading because four of those games came very early in the season before they traaded for Stephen Jackson. Since the trade, the Bobcats are 4-5 against those teams, and two of those losses to Orlando were close games that could have gone either way. They have three wins against the Cavaliers and now also have one win against the Magic.

so this article says we should throw out...
the games when we didn’t have stephen jackson. Also we should throw out the games when the other teams were “tired”. Hell, why don’t we throw out games when there was sun outside or games when barack obama has been president.
I’m just honestly happy the bobcats are taken seriously and this is the first season that we haven’t been yet referred to as “the hornets” in at least one AP recap.
Calm down
1. Stephen Jackson is a big part of the Bobcats in the playoffs. Why should we weigh those games without him heavily?
2. I never said throw out the b2bs; if I did, then there’s no point in making the effort to write this. The only point is to say that perhaps scheduling randomness that won’t be part of the picture in the playoffs may have aided the Bobcats against these teams.

everyone has the same amount of rest for playoff games

Exactly
Meaning talent often wins out. Charlotte won’t be playing the Cavaliers one night after an overtime loss to Denver in Cleveland, they’ll be playing the Cavaliers on full rest. They won’t be playing Orlando in their third game in four nights despite being on one day’s rest themselves, they’ll be playing a fully rested Orlando team.
Come on guys. I like your team but work with me here.
