Stephen Jackson Future with team?

I'll admit I don' t follow Bobcats extremly well(due to geographical reasons partly) but what do you guys think about Stephen Jackson and his role on this team for the future?

I know in the past he had some issues with bouncing around from teams, the infamous running into stands and whatnot, and his shooting percentage is rather attrocious historically, he's probably too much of a gunner from what I can see and too streaky, a la J.R. Smith type, but more well arounded(steals, assists etc).

Who do you think Charlotte needs or wants in any trade type deals? Seems like a winger scorer replacement that can shoot the 3 better and maybe let Gforce get more shots(he needs more, guy can score 25/game).

Anyone in the draft could come in and make immediate impact? You guys keep winning like this you probably will be too high to find someone.

Stephen Jackson hasn't done

anything wrong enough on or off the court that would even make us entertain the idea of trading him. Some people, including myself, view him as a saviour to the franchise because or team changed INSTANTLY. We closed out last year on a pretty good run, but didn’t make any moves over the offseason to improve on that. With Raja Bell, we were 3-9. Since Jack came in, we’ve been playing excellent ball. We’re not trading Jack for this year, or next, so we can save this discussion for then. But, if we had to trade him, it would just be for a younger SG that can do everything he can. There just aren’t too many out there.

Lol, exactly.

Which is why I will never complain about how many shots Captain Jack puts up. I mean, he’s really, to me, a poor man’s Kobe Bryant. I mean, they both take a lot of shots, and they both miss a lot shots. But they both make a lot of shots. They’re not afraid to take the last shot. They want the last shot. Ultimately, in basketball, no matter who’s shooting it, they’re either going to miss it or not. A player’s career is highly dependent on his confidence, which is one of the reasons that I didn’t want to trade Flip. But, it’s also one of the reasons why the Bobcats are that much better with Jackson.

Jack

IMMEDIATELY became a fan favorite. I’d be pretty disappointed if he isn’t with the team next year. I honestly hope we can keep him here long term. I like his fire and love making ability to pressure. He talks a lot of crap and gets in people’s heads. I love it. He brings national coverage(sort of) to the Cats as well. We need to resign Tyrus and mold him into the juggernaut he can be. LB knows.

Jack will leave only if he has more off court problems.

On the court he is an incredible player. Shooting, ball handling, on and off ball defense, confidence, leadership, and attitude. If he can tweak/reduce his complaining he will be even better.
