Which Team Do You Want The Bobcats to Play in the Playoffs?

Conventional wisdom seems to hold that the Bobcats would be a hellacious matchup for many of the Eastern Conference playoff contenders. If I'm reading the CW correctly, the Magic are the only team among the top four -- Cleveland, Orlando, Atlanta, Boston -- that the cognoscenti will heavily favor against the Cats, which is kind of remarkable, if you think about it.

I, for one, would love to see a series against Cleveland, because I think Charlotte has a great chance at winning games, but also because my best friend works for sports media in Cleveland, and the listeners to his radio show would absolutely LOSE... THEIR... MINDS if the Cats threatened the Cavs, and I'd call the show to gloat.

Which team do you most want to see the Cats play in the playoffs? Why?

Celtics

They just seem to be falling apart to me.

Cleveland...

Just for the fact that we have proven we can beat them on any given night this year….. unlike the others on there, especially Boston… ugh..

In mother Russia no one can hear you scream.... or is that space?...now that I think about it, it's definitely space....

I think you guys match up best with the Cavs

The Hawks could match you blow for blow and the Magic have too many mismatches. Not sure about Boston

We all love the Warriors..
We all hate Cohan as an owner of this franchise…

The cavs

For the bobcats this year, it will be all about confidence. Not only do they already have confidence against Cleveland from their regular season victories, but their confidence would be through the roof with a series win l. My only problem with playing them means we are probably the 8th seed. I would rather finish the season strong and take our chances against whoever is in our way.

I have to agree with Charlotte Bobcat

It will be our first visit to the playoffs and with a few notable exceptions, this is not a team full of players accustomed to post season pressures. We have high confidence against the Cavs – having matched up well with them throughout the season. Unlike most others that point out how shaky the Celtics are on paper, I DREAD seeing Boston in the first round. The playoffs are unique and some teams tend to rise to new heights once the post-season kicks in. The Green Machine have beaten the crap out of us every single game this season. Healthy or not, the Celtics believe they have the Bobcats’ number and I think the majority of the Cats feel the same way. It’ll be hard enough beating a playoff team on their home court. If we face a team the Bobcats may be intimidated by on top of it, it may well be a lost cause.
If we meet up with Cleveland I think we’ll have a better than 50-50 chance of advancing to the second round. I can’t say that for any of the other top 4 teams.

Cavs

I would say the celtics but no matter how bad they have been playing lately, every time we play them we get blown out. So I am going with the team that we are confident we can beat; Cleveland. 3-0 with Jackson!

Cavs

Win or lose, I think that will provide quite an entertaining playoff series for us. That, and I think we could have a chance as well.

Stephen Jackson has a bad reputation

But I think underneath his thick skin he’s a really good guy. He says all the right things in this video…

You guys would be a good threat to the Cavs, so them or maybe the Hawks are who I think you would have the best chance against.

You play some good team D so that should slow down Lebron and the Hawks on offense. But there’s also the pros of playing the Cavs in the playoffs. You could be playing on ABC and TNT if you go up against them where you would just probably be on NBA TV if you played the Hawks. So that’d be pretty cool having all those nationally televised games.

btw, I’ll be secretly rooting for the Cats against my Clippers tomorrow seeing how a Clipper loss wouldn’t mean much and it increases our lotto chances, where every win is big for the Cats.

Cavs

We seem to play well against them…I think we could win a game or two. Also though, it would give us a lot of exposure nationwide (more so than before). We’d have a lot of folks across the country rooting for us as the ultimate underdog, so it would be cool.

I’m definately going for the Cavs, 100% because I’m planning on visiting my Fiancé’s family in Cleveland during the first round of the playoffs, and I’m FAIRLY certain I’d be buying tickets!

Cleveland

I would LOVE to see them dethrone “King” James and for all to see his poor sportsmanship behaviour again lol. I think a win against Cleveland would land the Bobcats in immediate spotlight.

Atlanta

I think that’s a team we could realistically go 7 games with and defeat. I love the Cats just as much if not more than some, but the Cavs in the playoffs are a scary thought. Granted I’d much rather have the Cavs than Boston(who beat us by an AVERAGE of 25 points in 3 wins) or even Orlando(yea we don’t defend the 3 ball well…they shoot it VERY well). Either way I think we play well against ATL and that they present us with the best chance at advancing to the next round.
