Super Bowl Recipes, Predictions, and Protips
Some of you also care about some football game that's being played in Miami this afternoon. If you're worrying about your contribution to the party this evening, here's your guide.
1 -- Don't bring beer if you're a guest to the party. Beer is the easy way out. If you're going to bring alcohol, bring booze. If you're over 35 years old, consider bringing a bottle of wine.
2 -- If you're actually interested in contributing a homemade item to the party, here are a couple recipes that will rock the house.
SPINACH BALLSYou can make this with a trip to the grocery store and with about an hour of preparation at home, so it's not too late. (Original recipe found in The New York Cookbook, by Molly O'Neill. Altered slightly here.)
2 packages frozen chopped spinach
3 eggs
1 stick unsalted butter
1 package dry herb stuffing
1 big handful of grated cheese, preferably an Italian mix
minced garlic (to taste)
pepper (to taste)Thaw and drain the spinach. Beat the eggs. Melt the butter. Mix everything together, with your hands, in a large mixing bowl until everything is evenly mixed. Roll balls of the stuff and arrange on a baking pan. Each ball should be a little smaller than a golf ball. Bake at 350 on the middle rack for 15-25 minutes, until the balls are golden brown on the outside. Serve with onion dip, or alone.
THE LUDACRIS
This is a mixed drink my college roommate and I concocted. Women love it. Men love it. It's named after the rapper. And it's ridiculously easy to make. Tastes like candy!
1 part coconut rum
1 part white grape peach juice
Crushed ice
Blend or shake, and enjoyCan be brought in a large container pre-mixed, and poured over crushed ice.
(Recommended brands: Malibu coconut rum, and Welch's white grape peach juice. Both come in extra-large bottles.)
3 -- Colts 35, Saints 21
4 -- Best game to play for people who don't care about football: Celebrity ID Game. Here's how it works. When a musical celebrity appears in an ad, the first person to correctly sing a line from one of his or her songs gets a point. When an actor appears, the first person to correctly name one of his or her movies or TV shows gets a point. When an athlete appears, name the actor who would play that person in a biopic of his or her life, saying, for instance, "Danica Patrick played by Jennifer Love Hewitt!" Play two games, first half and second half. Take up a pot for the winner, if you wish.
5 -- Halftime party game: Truth or Dare. Still vastly underrated, and a great bonding game. If you're responsible for coming up with a Dare, dare that person to lick the front door's doorknob. If you're charged with asking for a Truth, ask for their Top Five.

I'm making chili-rubbed BBQ beef brisket in the crock pot.
I put it in at 9 am. Wanna guess how tender it’ll be by 7pm? This is almost more exciting than the game itself. I als made up a drink in college, it was called the Russian Surprise:
3 shots of rum
1 can of coke
1 finger of orange juice.
Tastes like Orangina and you won’t know what hit you.

My dad makes a mean brisket with a rub also
has to cook it for some outrageous amount of time too. But it’s definitely my favorite thing he makes.
Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is.
It's going to be freaking amazing.
This is my second time making it. The first time I ate it for three straight meals, including breakfast the next morning.
