SB Nation: Breaking Down the NBA Trade Deadline, Team by Team
Charlotte already made their big trade (Stephen Jackson), but I wouldn't count them out. They'd love a true power forward and have several centers (Nazr Mohammad, DeSagana Diop, Tyson Chandler, Alexis Ajica) that could be valuable to contending teams, though they all have bad contracts.
Great googly moogly, give me some Ronny Turiaf, Brandon Bass, or Jason Maxiell, in that order.

Thank you, sir. May i have another?
…give me some Ronny Turiaf, Brandon Bass, or Jason Maxiell, in that order.
Reverse the order, drop Turiaf and add Jason Thompson.
And which center to deal?
I hate to say it out loud, but I almost would like to see Gerald Henderson get traded
if only because I’d like to see him play in a real game in the next two years.

Personally, I find it hard to believe Orlando would trade Brandon Bass to us. Especially given there is a good chance we could see the in the 1st round of the playoffs.

let me get this straight
so golden state would trade us turiaf when they already have biedrins (plus they never have a center). Even if they took diop, they would be increasing payroll by 2mil/year with no real improvement. Taking nazr would make sense, but no way charlotte would do that.
Brandon bass? Please. Exact same situation, except replace “biedrins” with “dwight howard”.
Jason Maxiell is the only one that would make even possible sense. It has been shown they can’t use mohammed, so we are trading chandler or diop. Chandler is making too much money- the trade would be something to the effect of wilcox/brown, maxiell and some money (or both maxiell and brown and we would have to throw in ajinca or law and perhaps henderson).
Most likely scenario is Diop for maxiell straight up. Again they have no reason to do this- they would be adding 7.5 M in future commitments. If they threw in wilcox (read: 2 year contract) and we threw in acie law (read: expiring contract) or a prospect (henderson/ajinca, most likely ajinca because they have literally no post prospects, but that is wishful thinking).
Most of these are just rumors, so don’t read too much into them. It would be a steal to get any of these deals for the non-mohammed big men variety. Keep this in mind: if us, the fans, know these guys are worthless, do you think the GMs of the NBA know they are worthless, too? Something would tell me the answer is yes.
man
it’s hard for me to actually want a trade right now. especially considering the chemistry this team has, and the break in period that jax had when he came to the team. i would like to keep nazr. any of the others we can do away with, really.

Slow your roll, it's not even 9:30 and we've got a long in-game thread ahead of us.

hahaha thanks
man i’m not up for the game tonight. i spent all day re arranging a warehouse full of speaker cabinets, digital pianos, guitar amps, and drum kits. I am in no condition to be up right now. I really really really wish I was. I wanna watch this game. Throw something at the TV when Flip jacks up his third three for no reason for me. I swear, unless he’s 2/2 I scream “DON’T SHOOT IT!!!!!” every time he gets the ball haha. GO BOBCATS!
