Tyrus Thomas' New Bobcat Nickname

What should we call our new Power Forward?

Well, let's see, we've got Captain Jack (Stephen Jackson), Crash/G-Force (Gerald Wallace) and now we have Tyrus Thomas, who opened up his Bobcats debut even better than I thought he would 9 points, 12 boards, 6 very impressive blocks. I've been hearing nicknames floating around for him online. I even heard the t.v. announcers say they need to come up with a nickname, so, I thought we should create a thread to offer suggestions, and maybe one will catch on.

My Suggestion:

Titus (catches the "Ty" in Tyrus and the "Us" in Thomas)

Thoughts???

I'm a Bulls fan who posts in BlogaBull under the name Tyrusmancrush

and after you see what he can do, you’ll fully understand why.

If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

It looks like any variation on Taz is going to be the consensus

I still vote “No Struggle No Progress” for a secondary nic. TT has a tattoo w/ the phrase, it’s a Fredrick Douglas quote, and the implications for the working relationship we hope TT and LB build are obvious.

Taz is colorful, easy to type, and really fits his style of play, But NSNP will always be there in my book.

anyone down

for giving Theo a defensive oriented nickname as well? I don’t know why, but I was over joyed when he was on the floor. Just seemed like his experience and ability to direct the ball off of missed shots along with his superb defensive play made the team look a lot more whole.

I was screaming THEO every time he stepped onto the court

A nickname for Theo: Slap Chop

A name for the Theo/TT platoon off the bench: Double Block
