Jordan’s Bobcats Stumbling Out of the Gate........
"Our second team kicks our first team in practice," Brown said. "What does that tell you?"
Hm. What does that tell us Coach Brown?

I know I'd be taking a long look at the bench, and probably be starting them

with every passing day
a new story/interview is posted with a comment about LB that makes me wonder if he even knows where he is.
Blindly Optimistic follower of The Iowa Hawkeyes, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Charlotte Bobcats.
Simply fascinating quote...
I love it. The real question, though, is what does it tell him?
Thank you, San Francisco!
"I guess" we need some real leaders...

I guess Raymond Felton was the heart and soul of the team.
Sadly, I’m not saying that with sarcasm, no matter how pathetic I know it really is.

Not sure he was the heart and soul...
but he understood the role he was supposed to play

Which roles have changed?

LB's butt isn't NEARLY as clean and polished as it was when Felton was here.

I made that statement on here over the summer and everyone mocked me. I agree with letting him go because 8.5 million is too high of a price tag. But for all of his faults, he is a lot tougher than anyone we have on this team right now and we’re sorely lacking some toughness.
by Bring Back Primoz on Dec 14, 2010 5:35 PM EST up reply actions
Not so much toughness as it was willingness to put the team on his shoulders and never blame anyone else for the team's shortcomings
No one is willing to do that now.
Diaw is always pass
Crash is always drive
Jax is always shoot
McGuire is always suck…
The rest are trapped on the bench.

Well that's because he was often responsible for many of the team's shortcomings.
That’s why he got the last shot in an endgame situation 80% of the time despite missing 80% of the shots.

There you go exaggerating again. As I recall it was only 79.882% and he actually missed 81%

I remember one game fairly early last season.
Out of nowhere, Felton went insane in the late third/fourth quarter. We’d been getting beaten pretty badly all night but came back to win it. After the game, the press asked Raymond why he started cutting into the land of the giants under the rim. He said that coach had said that SOMEONE needed to step up and make something happen. Felton said he looked around and decided to man up. From that day on, he became Mr. Fearless. For a while everyone was complaining about the futility of what he was doing, but after a while he learned ways to get around his height limitations and actually take control of games.
THAT is what we’re missing the most about Raymond Felton and it’s the reason LB said, “I died” upon learning that Felton was gone.

Felton didn’t accept losing or the team not giving 100%. We seem to accept losing a little too easily this year.

The other reason is Larry had nobody to go watch Eat, Pray, Love with.

Toughness≠talent.
We’re lacking in the latter, with or without Felton. That gap can’t be bridged by all the scrappiness in the world.

Couldn't agree more
I don’t think the talent level is much different from last year. But last year’s team was scrappy/tough enough to fight to .500 at least. This year’s team doesn’t seem to have a lot of fight in them.
But who knows, sometimes it only takes one game or one event to get a team on a roll. I’ll keep dreaming ……..

Brown did anoint him "scappiest leaderer ever in the history of grittitude" the moment he got here.
