Open Gameday Thread Charlotte Bobcats at Golden State Warriors
Charlotte Bobcats at Golden State Warriors, Jan 29, 2010 10:30 PM EST
TV: SportSouth | Radio: 610 AM
SB Nation Warriors Blog: Golden State of Mind
This whole 10:30pm start time thing is driving me crazy. I can't imagine what the players must go through, especially if their coaches are insistent about 10am shootarounds.

I plan on being here
at least off and on. The game will be on, but I have a writing gig I have to devote some time to as well.
Will I be here?
Will I watch the game? Will I be in the open game thread? Do I have a paper due on a Saturday? Stay and find out! These questions and more will be answered shortly! Or not.

Neither team is running plays
I hope the Cats slow the pace down and stretch out this lead.

Hmmmmm
If there is such a thing as a Point Forward (ie Larry Johnson, Anthony Mason, Boris Diaw)
Why isn’t there such a thing as a Power Guard?
How would you define a Power Guard?
One who is a bit big(muscular) for a PG…but short and able to post up another guard with ease?

Ray was an AWFUL finisher early in the season.
He would charge in against the 7 footers and just bounce back out with nothing. He got blocked more often than anyone. He’s so much better at finessing his way around the giants now that he is DEFINITELY our go-to option as the game winds down. Now, when he takes over, he gets it done about 80% of the time.
No doubt in my mind he’s the most improved Bobcats player of the year – although Nazr has come quite a way as well.

Honestly?
I think the bigger problem is that we’re allowing GS to play their tempo. We haven’t taken them out of their gameplan at all. We need to shake them out of their flow and rhythm or we’re going to be scrambling hard in the 4th.
We should take this one and then have a fairly easy time in Sacramento as well. Let’s get our guaranteed .500 for the road trip early so when we steal the win from the Lakers to finish it off, it’ll be gravy.

Did y'all see Maggette?
He just shoved Predator to the floor with both hands in the back.
There’s not much time left, but you can bet the ranch Crash is gonna get some payback for that before the clock expires.

Watching the game
Just got back from Thomas Street Tavern. How is it that I can sit in a bar in Charlotte and watch 1970s professional wrestling on ESPN classic but I can’t watch the Bobcats game. Glad to get home and see the Cats are up!
yeah
Downright pathetic and insulting.

The TV & Radio situation needs to be corrected
Maybe when we reach the Eastern Conference finals, local stations will take notice.

OK
I think we can officially say the Cats are no longer road kill.
We’re definitely shaking off the road trip blues.
