Nets try to trick fans into wearing Nets gear
It's an interesting proposition. The Nets are essentially saying to fans, if you want these sought-after replica jerseys, you're going to have to take our team's stuff with them.
I'd almost be willing to bet that, for a good chunk of the sports fan populace, having another team's jersey on the reverse side of your team's jersey actually devalues the clothing. Interesting how another smallish-market team is trying to tap into revenue in creative ways, though.

Different perspective.
I don’t know how much of it is a ‘smallish market team tapping into revenue in creative ways’ and how much of it is a frustrated fan base.
A few years back the Nets were the hot ticket. The Knicks would always and will always sell out the Garden, but Nets tickets were a hot commodity. You’re seeing a fanbase now who realizes that the team’s days are numbered… as soon as their arena lease is up they’re moving to Brooklyn and there’s nothing that can be done about it.
It seems like New Jersey sports fans are focusing their energy on the Giants and the Devils now. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think this rebuilding mode is designed to lessen the blow of a move across the Hudson (as well as pitching to LeBron).
