Charlotte interested in Big Baby?

The following come from the Boston Globe, obtained through SI.com

Star-divide

Restricted free agent forward Glen Davis probably will have to continue to be patient before he learns where he will play next season. San Antonio had expressed interest, according to an NBA source, but backed off after agreeing to a contract with Pistons free agent forward Antonio McDyess yesterday. The Pistons are expected to take a serious look at Davis and have the financial ability to offer most of their midlevel exception. Boston is still very interested, as are New Orleans, Cleveland, and Charlotte.

The fact that the franchise is financially strapped right now will probably mean no Big Baby for us. Still, the prospect of having Davis as our backup PF seems interesting. I haven't seen a lot of Celtic games (mostly by choice), so i don't know his game very well. But he seems like a capable big body who might have the multi faceted skill set that Brown would view favorably. Thoughts?

I’m not interested. Would much rather have Bass.

You're not serious are you?

I’d prefer not to sign any free agents…but I’d take Big Baby any day over Bass! Even if Big Baby cost more.

I would rather have Bass too, but since he’s now with the Magic and the amount of possible big men is running out I wouldn’t mind.

Bass is gone.

Davis is pretty versatile.

He’s probably what Sean May could have been if he had cared enough about his body to stay on the court. Decent mid-range jumper, pretty good on the glass (particularly the offensive end), and at least average on defense.
